1000 Books Before Kindergarten
Our Library is participating in the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge. Does this sound like a lot? If you read just two books each night, you can read up to 730 books in just one year. This program is self-paced, and you may begin at any time. You may use the log sheets you’ll receive at the Library, or visit www.1000BooksBeforeKindergarten.org to download an app to log your books.
After each 100 books read, your child will receive a special sticker. We will also put their name on the display in the children’s room. If you wish, we will take their picture for the website and our Facebook page. Why not begin today? Sign up at the Circulation Desk!
YES – books read at the Library story time do count.

Tumblebooks is a collection of interactive books for kids. It includes picture books, leveled readers, graphic novels and chapter books. Many books can be viewed in a read-along format, where each work is highlighted as it is spoken by the narrator. Click the link below and use your library card number to log in.
Other fun events are scheduled throughout the year.
