Support Morris Plains Library

The Morris Plains Library is run by the Morris Plains Library Association. We are not a municipal library. We are pleased that we receive funding from the town, but we also rely on donations from our patrons to maintain the level of service we provide. Here are some ways you can help the Library.

Our annual fundraising appeal takes place at the end of the year. Look for our appeal letter and please donate what you can. Please check to see if your employer will match your donation.

We hold two shredding fundraisers each year, in the spring and fall. This is a great way to support the Library while keeping your records secure.

The Library Bookplate program is a thoughtful way to remember a special person or event. For $10, we will add a lovely bookplate to a book in our collection showing the donor’s name and the person being honored. You may suggest a book on a particular subject that would be especially meaningful.

If you wish to donate used books to the Library, please contact the staff first. Because of our space limitations and our collection policies, we cannot accept every donated book. We only accept books that are in clean, undamaged, unmarked condition.  We do not accept textbooks. Books that we cannot use in our collection will be donated to other charitable organizations, put in our “free book” case, or discarded.
